Thistle Airways was born on April 2006 as a Virtual Airline with it's operational base at Glasgow, the principle international gateway to Scotland. Flights are operated to and from various airports in Scotland, England and other European countries including Aberdeen, Amsterdam, Belfast, Benbecula, Birmingham, Bristol, Brussels, Chicago, Cork, Dublin, Dusseldorf, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Gatwick, Gibraltar, Glasgow, Heathrow, Helsinki, Ibiza, Inverness, Isle of Man, Jersey, Juliana, Keflavik, Lisbon, Liverpool, London City, Los Angeles, Luton, Madeira, Malaga, Manchester, Munich, New York, Newcastle, Orlando, Palma, Paris CDG, Prestwick, Seoul, Singapore, Southampton, Stanstead, Stockholm, Teneriffe, Toronto, Zurich using Boeing 747-400, Boeing 737-700, Airbus A320, Bae 146-200, Boeing 777-300, Fokker F100, ATR 42-300 and Beech Baron 58 Trainer aircraft.
Scheduled routes to destinations are offered but are also flexible by way of accepting new ideas for destinations thus not restricting members to the airline routes. This allows flexibility within the virtual world and does not tie any particular person to a particular location. Any suggestions for new destinations would be welcome, via the forum,so that details could be checked, and the new route added to an increasing variety of available places to visit.

The long term plan is to provide a Virtual Airline which takes the serious side of aviation coupled with the enjoyment of a hobby which has such vast variables and provide a level of enjoyment only associated with a well run Airline. Our members shall have access to a variety of routes to fly providing differing levels of enjoyment within the Flight Sim community.
